Leeming and District Lions Club
Ordinary people doing extraordinary things - supporting people with a disability, community greening, fundraising for worthwhile causes.
Be a part of the change. Join the Leeming and District Lions Club.
The Club’s successful applicant for the Lions Community 100 Grants Program was Oberthur Primary School.
A grant of $2000 has greatly enabled the Oberthur Boy’s Shed Project to advance giving students (mainly boys) with some learning and attention span difficulties the opportunity to be part of a team participating in the restoration of bicycles and the manufacture of billycarts.
One photo shows the boys outside their shed with the Projects Organisers in Raylene Throssel and Helen Taylor, three of the boy’s mentors, and Leeming Lions President Vic and Secretary Lawrie. The second photo is of one of the boys with his mentor hard at work.
